Shriya Saran, an indian film actress performs predominantly in leading heroine roles in high-budget and major studio films. Shreya saran was brought up in Ranipur, a small town in north India, a few miles from the holy city of Haridwar. She has completed her schooling from DPS (Delhi Public School).
She has done B.A. (Literature) from Lady Sri Ram College (LSR). She has a serious interest in classical dancing, and is an accomplished Kathak dancer.
She started her career as an aspiring model. This led to roles in music albums and advertisements.Shriya started her movie acting career with the Telugu film Ishtam (2001), produced by Usha Kiran Movies.
